NATIONAL PARK PLITVICE LAKES
National park Plitvice Lakes is considered one of the most beautiful national parks in the world. It is Croatia’s most popular tourist attraction, was granted UNESCO World Heritage status in 1979. It consists of 16 lakes combined by streams and waterfalls. They are a natural phenomenon that, as the older generations believe did not originate in an entirely ‘natural’ way.
The park is open daily (including Sundays and holidays) from 7 am – 7 pm (hours may vary slightly by season). There are a variety of options for exploring the lakes and waterfalls at Plitvice Lakes, depending on how much time you have and how much you want to explore.
NATIONAL PARK KRKA
Named after the Krka River, the Park covers an area of over 142 square km and includes two thirds of the river itself. The top attraction of the Park are its magnificent waterfalls, including the famous Skradinski Buk falls which are one of Croatia’s most famous sights. There’s a wide variety of both flora and fauna in the Park. Waterfalls, lakes, old mills, wooden bridges and walking paths are part of this unique space.
The park is opened daily , hours vary depending on the season.
NATIONAL PARK KORNATI
Thanks to its exquisite natural beauty, well indented coast, unspoiled nature and rich maritime flora and fauna, Kornati archipelago was proclaimed National Park in 1980. It stretches on 220 square meters, and it comprises of 89 islands, islets and reefs. You can get on Kornati by any sea-going vessel, either your own boat or using the transport service of some local boatman or touristic agency. The most commend way to get to the island of Kornati is to take one of the organised tours from Vodice or Pirovac. The price for the whole day tour is usually around 35 – 45 Euro per person and includes the following: boat ride, welcome drink, Kornati National park entrance ticket, lunch (fish or meat, salad, bread, wine or juice) and tourist guide.
NATIONAL PARK PAKLENICA
Paklenica National Park was established in 1949 and is Croatia’s second oldest national park. Covers an area of Velika and Mala Paklenica on the south slopes of Velebit, and is known as the best preserved and largest forest complex in Dalmatia. The National Park Paklenica is the most visited climbing center in Croatia, the closeness of seawater gives this area a special charm. Speleologists, alpinists, hikers and herb pickers can enjoy the Velebit and Paklenica Massifs and their many trails.
Opening hours:
April: on Saturdays 10.00 am – 1.00 pm
May: on Wednesday and Saturday 10.00 am – 1.00 pm
June, October: on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday 10.00 am – 1.00 pm
July, August, September: every day 10.00 am – 1.00 pm
From November to March smaller groups (up to 20 persons), can visit caves only with prior announcement and they have to hire a guide.
NATURE PARK LAKE VRANA
The nature park covers the biggest freshwater lake in Croatia with an ornithological reserve where 110 bird species nest and are visited by 230 more species. The birds are not the only valuables of the park. Unusual coexistence and outstanding symbiosis of land and water offers a refuge to various plants and animals, providing them with the necessities of life. The lake is full of biologically important fish species, and the area also possesses many other special features which a guest can discover on further expeditions. Be a part of medieval story and visit mysterious Mašković Han, archaeological site of an original 17th century Turkish hammam. If you want a good cycling route, it is a good way to spend a few hours riding around Vransko lake.
Nature Park is open all year long, seven days a week.

ZADAR
Zadar has much to offer in terms of both, historical attractions and beautiful nature. Zadar is a place to explore Roman ruins and Venetian architecture and watch a spectacular sunset to the soothing sounds of the sea. Alfred Hitchcock described the sunset in Zadar as “the most beautiful sunset in the world”. Zadar’s Venetian built defensive walls are now a UNESCO World Heritage site. The Sea Organ and Greeting to the Sun are highly original art installations that have gained worldwide fame. St Donat church, a Byzantine style church that dates from the 9th century is the symbol of the city. Zadar was voted European Best Destination in 2016.

SIBENIK
Few destinations on the Adriatic have reawaken themselves so entirely as the central Dalmatian city of Sibenik. The historic city center, made up of picturesque alleys, stairs and small churches is set on a hill surrounded by four impressive fortresses leading down to a crystalline blue sea and an archipelago dotted with islands. Its most recognized monument is the historic, UNESCO-protected – St James Cathedral. Sibenik’s second UNESCO Heritage structure is the Venetian-period St Nicholas fortress.

SPLIT
Croatia’s second-largest city, Split is a great place to see Dalmatian life as it’s really lived. The people of Split will tell you that their city is “the most beautiful one in the world and beyond”. Diocletian Palace and Cathedral of St Domnius are one of the best preserved monuments of the ancient Roman architecture in the world. Almost everything worth seeing is concentrated in the old town behind the seafront Riva. On the Western side of the city center, the wooded Marjan peninsula offers fine views over the coast and islands from its heights.

TROGIR
Trogir is a remarkable example of urban continuity. The orthogonal street plan of this island settlement dates back to the Hellenistic period and it was embellished by successive rulers with many fine public and domestic buildings and fortifications. The historic town center is a pedestrianized district that is like an outdoor museum, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1997. Finely-carved facades, elegant churches and palaces, Renaissance gates and medieval streets reflect Dalmatian art and architecture at its best.

DUBROVNIK
